Mining Ethereum In server rigs

Personal side project of mine with some friends.

We decided to mine Ethereum, but wanted to keep the rigs in a cooled server room. So we restricted the rigs to be kept in 4u cases on a standard 19″ server rack.

The result is actually awesome.

ATM, a little bit more than 500MH/s with a total of

• 23x Radeon RX 480s
• 3x Radeon RX 570s
• one Radeon R9 290

Along with standard components like 4GB RAM on each rig, celeron CPUs and 1200W/1350W PSUs.

With the price of ethereum, this investment has 2/3 paid for itself and will soon be 100% benefits.
